In this Saturday friendly, Stanford-le-Hope batted first and came up against Evie-Mae Baldwin at her very best.  Opening the bowling and sending down 8 accurate overs, she captured 6 wickets for 6 runs and a career-best bowling return.  Bowling really doesn't get much better than this.  And although we were pleased to dismiss SLH for 133 after Hadi Mirza had stroked 68*, we could have been chasing far less had it not been for us conceding 29 extras.

In the run-chase, our early order batters failed to impress and we were soon in trouble.  But then skipper Jim Robertson (29*) and Marc Baker (38*) entered the arena and they skilfully guided the 5th XI home to a 3-wicket win.  Well played Belhus but you nearly threw it away!
