REUBEN HART FIRST TO REACH 500 RUNS AS UNDER 14s WIN:
Belhus Under 14s 141-5 Harold Wood Under 14s 133 all out.
In their second match of the Sir Alistair Cook Trophy, on 4th June, away at Harold Wood Park, our Under 14s defeated Harold Wood by the close margin of 8 runs.
HW won the toss and put us in to bat and with Aryan Yagneshkumar Patel (38) and skipper Reuben Hart (38*) producing fine knocks, we managed to post a reasonable total of 141 for 5 from the allotted 20 overs.
In their response, HW made a really good attempt at the run-chase, with Leo Polling stroking 37 from 23 balls, but they fell just short of the required target as Ethan Hammes bowled superbly to take 4 for 19 from his 4 overs.
And in continuing his fine form with the bat this season, Reuben became the first Belhus batter to reach 500 runs. Congratulations to him and well played team for another good all-round performance. Good luck in the coming rounds.
