REUBEN HART STROKES MAIDEN CENTURY.
Belhus 5th XI 260-7 (Reuben Hart 105* Ryan Prendergast 51)
Stanford-le-Hope 5th XI 214 all out (Keith Wilson 79).
Reuben
Hart had a day to remember as he crafted a fine 105 not out in just his
third senior match, hitting 11 boundaries in a
chanceless innings as he led Belhus 5th XI to 260 in their allotted 40
overs against Stanford-le-Hope.
Max Wilson was the pick of the
Stanford attack with 3 wickets, supported by skipper Dave Street who also
snagged 3 victims. Ryan Prendergast made a nice 51 before gracefully
retiring and Akther Raju hit a quick-fire 29. The young Stanford team
were spirited in the field with 5 good catches.
In
reply, Keith Wilson made an excellent 79 not out as Stanford made a
spirited effort in reaching 214. There were good knocks also from
skipper Street with 31, Ronnie Street 22 and Connor Busby 16.
Belhus bowlers Evie Baldwin and Dexter Hill picked up 3 wickets each and
there were good catches from Lewys Worley (2) , Ronnie Shaw and Evie
Baldwin. Glenn Hart also chipped in with 2 wickets as Belhus won by 46 runs.
A very enjoyable day for both clubs and a memorable one for young Reuben, the second youngest batter to score a century in a senior Belhus match.
