AMIT GOHIL TAKES MAIDEN HAT TRICK.
In their second Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season on 18th May, our 4th XI fielded first and dismissed Wanstead & Snaresbrook for a lowly total of 101.
This was thanks to young George Bowden who produced an excellent return of 3 wickets for just 9 runs from his 8 overs, including a wicket with his very first ball in senior cricket when clean-bowling opener Soham Bhattacharjee.
And then spinner Amil Gohil registered his maiden hat trick when returning 3 for 20 to join the Belhus CC Hat Trick Club.
After tea, we had little difficulty in chasing down the runs as Zahid Ahmad (42) and Vansh Mehra (24*) saw us home to a comfortable 7 wickets victory.
