BELHUS THROUGH TO REGIONAL FINAL OF NATIONAL VILLAGE CUP:
In the 2nd Round of the Voneus National Village Cup match against Woodham Mortimer, the Club chalked up an impressive 101-runs victory.
Batting first, we posted a competitive total of 254 for 8 from our allotted 40 overs, with skipper Ryan Wells (54) and Dylan Sinfield (58*) our leading run-scorers.
In the reply, although Angus Beames stroked a fine, run-a-ball half-century (54), his team weren't quite able to keep up with the required run-rate and were dismissed for 153. Louie Mailey captured 3 for 30 and Ryan Wells, James Webb and Teddy Waters collected 2 wickets apiece as we marched home to a comfortable victory.
In the 3rd Round of the Cup we were scheduled to meet Little Baddow, but by reason of their Concession, we now proceed to the Regional Final (South Essex) against Bentley at Home on 9th June at 1.00pm.
