NEW LIFE MEMBERS ELECTED.
The Club is delighted to announce the election of two new Life Members.
In various capacities, Jim Robertson and Richard Waters have a combined total of 80 years' devoted service to the Club. Since joining us in 1983, their tireless efforts in carrying out numerous volunteering roles have gone a very long way towards building and maintaining our successful Club.
In the Club's 63-year history, only five other members have previously been bestowed Life Membership - Don Sievwright (1975), Ken Merton (1976), Brian Edwards (2005), Cliff Cansdale (2007), Ryan Lucas (2014) - and we are extremely grateful to Jim and Richard for their unswerving commitment from which hundreds of members, both senior and youth, have benefitted.
On the field of play, they have together made almost 2,000 appearances for whichever team they were selected, without complaint, clocking up over 20,000 runs and taking around 1,500 wickets. And along with their many team captaincy seasons, that really is quite a remarkable achievement - and they haven't finished yet!
All present and past members of Belhus CC will raise a glass to Jim and Richard to toast their well-deserved election, and express appreciation for their exceptional service.
