SNEL PROMOTION FOR ALL BELHUS XIs.
After a demanding and competitive season in the Shepherd Neame Essex League, all four of the club's Saturday XIs gained promotion.
And although perhaps unlikely to re-appear in the Belhus record books for a little while yet, the 2018 season witnessed . . .
our 1st XI secured promotion to the SNEL Premier Division;
our 2nd XI leapt up to their SNEL Division One;
our 3rd XI climbed up to their SNEL Division One;
our 4th XI became Champions of SNEL Division One East.
Many outstanding batting and bowling performances were registered by a good
number of our players and, in the process, were skilfully led by our team captains Danny Joyce, John Lewis Jnr, Richard Waters and John Wilson.
Not
surprisingly, the wholesale promotions were an unprecedented achievement for the
club and a record-equalling feat in the history of the SNEL. And in congratulating all of our players for a terrific season, our grateful thanks are extended to the many Belhus volunteers and officials who also contributed to such a successful playing season.
