After a busy winter at Belhus CC it was finally time for some cricket at North Stifford.

Belhus batted first in this pre-season friendly and new signing Usman made his mark on debut scoring a run-a-ball 60 with opening partner Lewis Blake making a solid 35 to open his first team account for the season.

Alex Blake and Adam Dudmish batted superbly in the middle overs with Dylan Sinfield seeing the innings home with a quick-fire 41.

The Belhus target of 239 was going to be tough one to chase on what was a slow wicket and outfield.

Rayleigh started their innings superbly with an opening partnership of 42 between Toby Turner (14) & Sam Keene (15). Belhus then fought back with some superb spin bowling from new signing Abdullah Mir taking 3 wickets for just 22 runs from his allotted overs,

Sam Keene kept the Rayleigh ship steady with a superb mature innings from the young lad however once he was removed by new signing Affif Khan Belhus were in control. Louie Mailey finished the innings off with some brilliant death bowling to seal the game for Belhus.

A game played in fantastic spirits against a great group.
