Belhus bowled with discipline and restricted CEE to a modest 211-9 with spinner Matt Doran being the pick of our bowlers in capturing 5 for 56. Joe MacGregor was the mainstay of CEE's innings with a fine 81.

In the run-chase, we lost brothers Joe and Danny Joyce with just 33 runs on the board but for the second week running, Max Osborne (76) and Matt Doran (81) produced a magnificent 3rd wicket partnership of 136 to take us to within sight of victory. A little wobble followed, but Belhus edged over the line to win by 4 wickets with just 5 balls of the match remaining.

With 2 league matches still to be played, skipper Danny Joyce's 1st XI are in 3rd place in SNEL Division One - 12 points behind 2nd placed Hutton and 13 points behind the leaders Buckhurst Hill. Next week's home fixture against Hutton has the makings of an exciting promotion-chasing match.
