Match report The long trip to North Essex was rewarded with a glorious afternoon at this delightful venue. Winning the toss and batting the home side struggled in the initial overs with some accurate bowling from openers Playle and Wakeling. Playle bowling Menhinick in the seventh over.

This however only brought Kerr to the crease who proceeded to crash the Belhus attack all around the ground for the remaining 33 overs ending on a very impressive 124 not out. "Old Hats" Hall 0 - 48 and Ruck 2 - 75 taking the brunt of the punishment in a side with limited bowling. However Downes 2 - 30 of 6 overs and the return of Playle 1- 53 of 12 applied a slight brake as the hosts completed there 40 overs on 240 for 5.

With the target potentially always out of reach for the mix of Vets & Juniors, the visitors were non the less determined to bat through. An accurate openning spell from Speller and Howard held the Belhus reply to 56 off the first 15 overs, however with the loss of Following drinks and the departure of Skipper Ruck for 30 Don East 29 controlled proceedings as the visitors completed their innings on 118 for 8 loss of 122 equates to Kerr's excellent earlier efforts.
