Belhus batted first in this 35 over friendly, in which, if you got to 50 you would retire, but could go back in if required.

C Didd 27 and T Waters 16 got us off to a good start, but at 68 for 5 we were in a little bit of trouble, but a lovely stand of 72 between Afra Mohammed and Wayne Read eased the pressure as Read retired. Afra then fell for 13, Tom Thompson hit a quick 23, but we the lost 3 wickets for 0 runs, as James took 3 wickets in 4 balls, with 8 balls left, this brought Read back in to grab an extra 15 to take the total to 184 to end up 66 not out, James finishing with 4 for 40.

In reply, Rettendon reached the total in the 33 overs, as Sutherby 46, Smith 34, Divers 41* Hiller 15 and Falconbridge 36* eased home against the young Belhus attack, in what was a very good game.
