In another excellent game, South Weald just came home the winners in the final over of the match.

Batting first, Jack Plane got us off to good start with a solid 65, and the middle order all chipped in to help (A Willliams 32, P Singh Bal 29 and R Webb 17), as we closed on a competitive 205 in our 40 overs.

In reply, Weald got off to good start, but wickets fell at regular intervals and when Weald lost 3 wickets for 1 run, with the score at 148 for 6, it was always going to be a close game and if it weren't for dropped catches, the result would have surely been different, as G Thwaites saw Weald home in the last over with a fine, aggressive 44 not out batting at No. 8.
