Frinton were put in to bat and it proved to be a good decision, although we bowled well and restricted them to 160. Frinton were very thankful to T Geldard for his 100, as he batted very well indeed; without him, the total would have been considerably lower. Jim Robertson picked up 3 for 28 and S Bayford 3 for 14.

We too found it difficult, as Frinton threw everything at us and R Everson bowled well for his 6 for 25 off 14 overs, but in vain as we just crept home.
Roy Heffernan showed the way with a much-needed and good 60, Stuart Morris with 20 and Jason Caparn with 15 not out at the end.
