Batting first, Belhus reached 196 for 6 in their 35 overs, as S Morris and G Benson gave us a good start, Benson falling for 30. W Read joined Morris and they put on 100 before Read fell for 54, Morris also hit a half century, 51, and S Bayford a quick 20 before the innings closed.

After tea, excellent bowling from the Belhus attack saw Newport bowled out for 132 in 29.2 overs, as only S Bailey 32 and D Moult with a good 56 batted well but with no back up from the rest, as the wickets were shared out. J Riley was the pick with 3 for 20.
