Rayleigh posted a competitive total of 199 from their allotted 45 overs. After tea, we were never really in the run-chase and batted out 45 overs to secure an 'honourable draw' with John Lewis Snr and Terry Beck both unbeaten on 25 and 15 respectively. This was also Wayne Read's playing debut.
