Our 1st XI batted first in this Lillywhite Frowd League match at Harrow Lodge Park. but only John Lewis Jnr (34) and John Rowell (46) made any impression on the Hornchurch bowlers as we posted a very modest 124 from 44.3 overs.

In their run-chase, Hornchurch were never really up with the clock as skipper Bill Taylor took 6 for 21 from 15 overs and we won quite comfortably by 54 runs. Only one Hornchurch batsman reached double figures - Ian Joyce - batting at Number 9 - with a late rally of 36.
