Match report At Belhus Park, this was the club record team total (until it was broken in 1989) and Wayne Read struck the highest number of 6s in an innings (14) - a record that stands as at 2016. It was also the first occasion in the club's history when 2 centuries were scored by Belhus batsmen in the same innings. Wayne's score of 151 was the highest individual score on the 1st XI pitch at Belhus Park.

Our 337 was a formidable total and Midland Bank were never in the chase. Despite a fine spell by off-spinner Dean Bettles (4 for 45 from his 20 overs) we couldn't quite winkle them out but we nevertheless won this 40-over match by 235 runs.
