Match report An impressive win by the 1st XI in this Greene King Essex league match. Marles was the mainstay of the Britannic Lodge innings with 89 not out and took his team to a respectable 160 all out. Robert Clarke was our most successful bowler with 5 for 42.

And despite an early crisis when we found ourselves at 29 for 3, Denis Reed and Jim Donovan (with 45 runs apiece) steered us to a 5 wickets win in 33 overs.
