Match report A fascinating match.

Belhus were dismissed for just 111 - and that was only thanks to Don Pegler whose stubborn 37 took 88 balls. Benfleet used only two bowlers to send down 45 overs and Brotherton bowled magnificently for his 9 for 45.

In reply, Benfleet quickly found themselves in trouble at 12 for 5 but a middle order rally took them to 53 for 5 and the match was in the balance. Then Don Pegler came on to bowl and removed the last three Benfleet batsmen to give us victory by 20 runs and a satisfying win.

Of the 20 wickets to fall, 15 were clean-bowled!
