For our second tour to Northern Ireland we travelled by boat and train. The crossing over the Irish Sea was said to have been the roughest for 15 years. 10 members of the tour party shared a four-berth cabin - not to be recommended or repeated. However, we stayed in more comfortable accommodation than the previous year - at the Marine Hotel in Bangor.

An exciting match to begin the club's second tour to Northern Ireland. It was a stop/start match due to rain - a very cold and miserable afternoon.

From 47 for 4 a 'Belhus Collapse' took us to 52 all out as 5 of our batsmen registered 'ducks'. However, after tea, Don Pegler sent down 17 overs for just 17 runs and we managed to capture 7 Queen's wickets as it took our opposition 34 overs to reach their target.
