Batting first, St Helens piled misery on the Belhus bowlers racking up 291 for 5 in their 40 overs, V.Wood 46, I Huyton 59, M.Abrams 60 and a fine 104 from G.Davis inflicting most of the damage.

In reply, Belhus were never in the hunt and crawled to 161 for 7 in their 40 overs, W. Read 22, P.Clark 18, G.Lewis 38 and Rob Waters not out 29 with M.Lewis not out 28 at the death the batsmen to reach double figures.
