In glorious sunshine at North Stifford Village Green, the 2nd round of the SNEL League Cup produced an exciting match.

Batting first, Belhus notched up a respectable total of 286 for 5 off of their allotted 50 overs as Max Osborne struck 86*, Ryan Wells 70, Dan Dreher 37* and skipper Danny Joyce 36.

Ilford put in a gallant, measured attempt at the run-chase, with Haaris Ayub stroking a fine half-century (65), but they came up a little short of their required target and Belhus came out victors by just 9 runs.

An enjoyable match played in a good, sporting spirit.
