Belhus Cricket Club Lost . Dads Won by 8 Runs

Match report Belhus Under 11's finished off their season with an 8 a side 6 overs per pair match which ended in defeat against their dads at North Stifford. The under 11s were asked to bat first with the first pairing of Jude Ranson 7 and Ben Garwood 13 giving them a steady platform. However the second pairing saw Liam Waters and Eathan Morris come out to bat, which meant Richard Waters and Stuart Morris came on to bowl, Richard Waters picking up figures of 6 - 10 off 3 overs including a stunning hat trick and Morris 1 - 9 off 3 overs piled on the pressure for the boys. There were helpful contributions with the bat for the boys from Joe Dalton 14, Khizer Imran 11 and Tuler Kohl top scoring with 27 crashing there dads bowling all around the ground.
At the the break the Dads went out to bat with the message from the skipper that we must not lose, regular wickets fell with some questionable umpiring decisions, but this did not stop the dads hitting there sons around the park, Toby Reynolds hitting 23, Stuart Morris ( batting Left handed ) 26, Scott Garwood 21, andy Dalton 21, Lee Ranson 19 nd Richard Waters also batting left handed hitting 17. the wickets for the under 11's were well shared out as the dads lost 20 wickets, Josh Renolds achieving a fine run out with a direct hit from the boundry.
The Dads won the game by 8 runs at the end, much to the dissapoinment of the watching crowds ( the mums ).
A big thank you to all the mums and dads for an enjoyable day and a good way to end the season and for all the support and for Emma Reynolds for keeping the supply of bacon sandwiches going not just on sunday but throught the season.
Most of all a big WELL DONE to all the under 11's squad throughout the 2011 season, you have all done really well this season and I wish you all the very best for the 2012 season.
