With three overs remaining, South Weald required just five runs to win, but Jamie Foster and George Maidment produced three excellent overs as Belhus achieved a fine win by the narrowest of margins on the Bill Cutts Memorial Ground. Opening bowler Foster was re-introduced into the attack and promptly produced six straight deliveries. Then, from the Sandpit Lane end, Maidment bowled a wicket-maiden when he bowled number nine batsman Bailey without score. So five runs were still required and it was all down to Foster's skill and accuracy. Two dot balls were delivered followed by a scampered bye. Jasmine then hit a single from the fourth delivery, as did Eathan with the following ball, leaving one required to tie and two to win from the final ball. Another scampered run was attempted, but it was thwarted by a run-out to give Belhus victory by just one run. Much earlier, Ali Mirza produced a quality run-out with a direct hit at the stumps with a throw while on the ground from a diving stop and, from his bowling, he finished with one wicket for just five runs from two fine overs. Frankie Debono, Hassan Mirza, Joseph Clarke, Tom Enright and Billy Maidment also picked up one wicket each. Earlier, Billy Maidment top scored for Belhus with an undefeated 25, which included two boundaries.
