The Belhus under elevens can take great credit from a superb achievement in matching - and almost exceeding - the performance of their more senior club colleagues at Ockendon Recreation Ground. In fact the U13 team were on the ropes when their opener Alfie Debono was caught and bowled by the promising pace of Tyler Kohl without score, then soon afterwards Ali Mirza was dismissed, being clean bowled by Joshua Reynolds for just one run. Reynolds went on to catch Matthew Wakeling off his own bowling for seven runs, but then James Bright and George Maidment responded with 16 runs each with Bright undefeated at the close of the innings.

The position of the Belhus under elevens was strengthened still further when Eathan Morris struck a fine 20 not out, but the U13s kept their nerve and they held on - but only just - for a slender three-run victory.
