Match report A fantastic game with quality batsman having the upper hand saw the Belhus youngsters snatch victory with the very last ball of the game. Ilford cruised to 117 without loss with Harris retiring on 51. Vithu and Nikhil 40 and 28 not out took the score to 136 for 2 at the end of the 20 overs.

Belhus openers Wells and Kent matched the earlier Ilford openers' domination of the bowling. Wells retiring in style with a six to reach 52. With 5 overs to go 47 runs were required, enter Mathew Lewis (20)and Jake Wolfe (15 Not out)with successive overs of 14 and 15 including 2 sixes and 4 fours reduced the required rate to 12 off two overs. Lewis was then bowled by Harris to add tension and 7 were required off the last over.

A dot ball increased the tension which was relieved the following delivery when Jake Wolfe pulled a short ball to the square leg boundary. Another dot ball, followed by Jack Martin Hussey sacrificing his wicket going for a second run left two required of 2 balls. Wolfe squeezed out a single, leaving the score level and new batsman Sam Hall facing the final delivery. A well struck off drive evaded the field and Belhus had prgressed to the next round of the county stages of the Peters Cup to travel to Woodford Wells.
