Mark Fogg and Harry Davison both made double figures for Belhus with 20 and 10 respectively in this South Essex Youth League match at Mopsies Park on Sunday. Both batsmen fell to Morris, who picked up four wickets for just six runs from two spells of bowling. Earlier, the home side had three players who reached the compulsory retirement mark, being Downes, 26, McLeod 25 and Jack Green 28. Ayres finished on 16 not out. The Basildon wickets were claimed by Jamie Foster 1-21 and Sameer Sulemanjee 1-8. We welcomed back former Essex Academy scorer Lisa Cansdale, returning to the scorebook after absence of about two years due to illness.

The trip to Lord's voted upon by the players last week, will be taking place on Thursday 25th August. Players/Parents will be issued with more information in due course. At the present time, this trip is only being offered to current U13 squad members so we can tailor the coaching session at the MCC Academy (formerly MCC Cricket School).
