Twins Billy and George Maidment opened the batting in the Belhus reply at North Stifford and promptly posted a 58-run partnership. Billy hit four boundaries in a knock of 23, while George hit three fours in his innings of 13. Earlier, Belhus started brightly, with Jake Skingle opening the bowling, with his first over being a maiden. Jamie Foster was impressive with the ball with 2-10 from three overs, but the Belhus bowling honours went to Billy Maidment with 3-16 and at one stage he was on a hat-trick. His first wicket was claimed when Gray was brilliantly stumped by wicketkeeper Matthew Wakeling for just three runs, then Elliot was caught by Harry Davison at backward square-leg.

Belhus team manager Cliff Cansdale said: "We are continuing to improve and the team is consistently proving to show that we have the ability to play the longer version of the game. Apart from Billy's all-round performance, there were good displays with the ball, particularly from Skingle and Foster. Our fielding and catching is improving too."

Belhus will shortly be extending their fixture list beyond the current league programme and, in the dressing room after this game, the team voted for an U13 squad visit to Lord's for possible coaching and a tour of the ground. Lord's will be approached very soon to see if we can be accommodated.
