Horndon on the Hill's U13s achieved a good victory over Belhus at North Stifford on Sunday morning. Petts, Stone and Smith were retired undefeated on 27, 25 and 26 under South Essex league rules while Jeys was undefeated on 12. In the Belhus reply, Billy Maidment top scored with 19 and Harry Davison also batted well with 16. Top bowler for Horndon was O'Neill, with 2-9 from two overs.

The Belhus U13 team continue to improve; the ground fielding was impressive, the wicketkeeping genrally sound; fielders were walking in with the bowler at long last. One area of our game that needs to improve is our catching.
