Match report Belhus Under 13's travelled to SEDCB East Group Winners leigh on Sea for this Semi Final encounter. Winning the toss and electing to bat the visitors raced to 63 for 1 after 8 overs. With Mathew lewis forced to retire on 25 under competition rules, the run rate slowed however contibutions of 14 not out from Jack Martin-Hussey and 11 from Sam Hall saw Belhus through to a respectable 107 from their 20 overs.

Leigh on Sea, unbeaten in the Group stages of the competition, lost openner Collis in the first over and his partner Laav with the score at 17. The Belhus bowlers continued to apply pressure, wickets fell at regular intervals. As the required run rate increased the homeside were forced into taking risks and the Belhus fielding met the challange with 3 run outs, 2 down to excellent work from young Ewan Day.

Leigh were resticted to 72 for 9 with the highlight of the bowling being Jack Martin-Hussey 4 overs 2 for 6, Sam Hall 4 overs 1 for 8 and Tom Dreher 3 overs 1 for 5.

Belhus now play either Orsett or Hadleigh and Thundersley in the final on Sunday September 5th
