Harry Davison was the Belhus man of the match with an excellent undefeated 26 in the first of ten fixtures in the South Essex District Board cricket league at North Stifford on Monday evening (10th May). Davison struck four boundaries as the rest of his team-mates floundered against a keen visiting bowling attack. Earlier, Davison was equally adept as wicketkeeper, conceding just one bye and taking a fine catch to dismiss Adam Valentine off the bowling of Donovan Wright for 16 runs. For Horndon, Luke Smith and Sam T took two wickets apiece, while Luke Smith completed a fine all-round performance with 25 not out.
