This game was a story of two half-centurions, one from each side. Davies hit 57 for Lettsom and, after tea, Billy Winter struck 52 in reply for Belhus. Winter produced eight boundaries. Counsell was top wicket-taker for the visitors to North Stifford with 3-31 from eight overs, while for the hosts, Ricki Ellis took the honours with 3-28 from 6.4 overs. Opener Joe Joyce batted well for 35, but the real drama came when five runs were still required from the final over. But Ellis carefully nurdled the ball down to third man to secure a slender one-wicket victory.

Michael Fogg produced the game's champagne moment by sprinting around the boundary to take an athletic diving catch to dismiss Lettsom's number eight batsman; the catch would have graced the highest levels of the professional game.
