Billy Winter produced a seasoned bowling performance then Gavin Jefferies led the way with the willow to yield a home victory in the Shepherd Neame Essex League division three on Saturday. Winter bagged 4-20 from ten overs, three of which were maidens. Then Jefferies, opening the Belhus innings, hit 52 as all of the top six Belhus batsmen reached double figures. Michael Fogg, who had earlier taken three catches as wicketkeeper, scored 25, Richard Day hit 15, Joe Joyce 21 then Nick Marns and Winter both contributed 18, the latter undefeated. Epping's number six batsman Terry Preston top scored with 40, while supporting Winter with the ball were Luke Clements, 1-33, Dale Kenyon 2-33, Rob Joyce 1-37 and Ricki Ellis 2-29.
