Disability Cricket at ......................................... We are one of just a handful of clubs in Essex that is working with the Essex County Cricket Board, 'Cricket4Change' and 'sportessex' on a new initiative to provide cricket opportunities for young people with disabilities. This has been made possible by a financial contribution from 'Awards for All'. Cliff Cansdale and Ian Wright (Green shirts) representing Belhus CC at the 'Awards for All' Presentation at the County Ground, Chelmsford We have already organised a number of coaching sessions in schools and have now established our own disability section. The project falls under the 'Hit the Top' programme designed to provide cricket for those with learning and physical disabilities. In 2010, five disability teams in Essex, of which we are one, will play against each other competitively, the first such league competition of its kind in the world.
